Tour Eleven Leaving Las Vegas Las Vegas has a year round riding season from that of sour usual base camp of Salt Lake City. So when the season isn't appropriate up north for riding in the cooler season, this unique route gives you the best from extreme deserts to the world of Ansel Adams' mountains. Springtime is a gamble that Tioga Pass is open into Yosemite and the summer is not recommended for traveling in the afternoon in Death Valley. Therefore we recommend this tour in late fall just before the snow flies. Fly into Las Vegas for night of activities of your choice because the next day will take you to the opposite side of the universe. Your first day out and second night will land you in Death Valley National Park, which is about as much of a change as you can get from Las Vegas. Incredible landscapes and a night at a historic hotel that you would not think could exist in the park. Day two will take you across and out the West side of the park and into the Independence Valley for a beautiful cruise past the highest peak in Nevada and into the quaint town of Lee Vining near Historic Mona Lake. Lee Vining will be your overnight host for two nights. The day in between is your day to visit and explore Yosemite National Park, one of the most photographed parks in the country, and for good reason. Please refer to the works of Ansel Adams. Your forth day will have you cruising across the isolation and openness of central Nevada on Highway 6. It is said that Highway 50 (refer to the "Extreme Tour") is the "Loneliest Highway in America", it is number 2 compared to this road. Incredible cruising with a bread in the historic mining town of Tonopa. Your overnight stay is in Ely, Nevada, another small historic town that has a deep history in mining and actually has a train museum. Fifth day, more desert crusing but with a detour to Great Basin National Park which is home to the Lehman Caves, a Bisrtlecone Pine forest with 2000 year old trees, and an incredibly surprising motorcycle road that takes you to 10,000 ft., 600 feet above the desert floor. After some fast desert and central Utah farmland cruising, Bryce Canyon National Park is home for the evening. Your last day on the road guides you through Zion's National Park, one of Utah's most famous. Riding the East Entrance alone is worth the price of admission. After leaving and passing through rural southern Utah, a straight desert cruise brings you back to Las Vegas. This an incredibly interesting tour that is totally different from anything else based out of Las Vegas. Rides should be based on magnificent extremes.
